Dr Keith Richards OBE: Managing
Director
Keith has more than
25 years' experience of renewable energy and energy efficiency project management and consultancy through ETSU (the Energy Technology Support Unit, Harwell). He has been central to the take-up of bioenergy projects in the UK, developing strategies for Government and then implementing them. He has championed the development of regional and sub-regional targets. Keith established TVE
in 2001, and since then has been focusing on working with community groups in close collaboration with Local Authorities and Regional Government to introduce hybrid renewables solutions. Keith remains an expert evaluator for the European Commission and Task Manager for the International Energy Agency (IEA), a role extending for more than 20 years.
He is also a member of many regional committees on sustainability, rural development, climate change and planning. Keith was awarded an OBE for services to sustainable development in the Queen's birthday honours list in 2005.

Mary Miller: Assistant
Company Manager
Mary has worked in the UK and
overseas as an economic development advisor for the United
Nations, UK Government and various agencies. She has also
assisted with formulating UK strategy on energy and climate
change-related actions whilst working at ETSU in the early
1990s. More recently, Mary worked for Ilex Energy and has been
involved with advising Government on the one hand, and
individual companies on the other, concerning carbon and renewables policy, trading
strategies and specifically issues relating to small-scale
generation.
Mary leads on commercial energy matters for TVE.

| Louise
Simmonds: Chief Financial Officer
& Company Secretary
Louise
is a solicitor (non-practising), experienced in all aspects of
commercial and contractual law, who provides TVE with advice on
legislation, policy and legal matters together with general
business advice and due diligence assessments. She has wide
experience of working with public bodies both in the UK
(including Local Authorities, English Partnerships, RDAs, the
Countryside Agency (CRI), the Welsh Assembly and many government
departments) and abroad, including the European Commission and
the Thai Government. She has recently contributed to an
entrepreneur's guide to starting an Energy Services Company in
the developing world and has been involved in developing the
commercialisation process of wood heating and other biomass
technologies including the development of business plans for
local enterprises.

Ian Bacon: Solar
and Built
Environment Advisor
Ian leads on community-based and household-focused projects, liaison with local authorities, and domestic and small-scale energy efficiency. He also covers planning issues relating to renewable energy and is a licensed EcoHomes Assessor. Previously he has worked for a commodity futures trading company in the Far East, an environmental education charity in Lincolnshire and as Home Energy Conservation officer for the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, from where he joined TV Energy in 2002.

| Michael
Beech: Technical Advisor
Michael is a chartered mechanical engineer with project management and project engineering experience in the UK, Republic of Ireland and the US. He has the role of Technical Advisor with TV Energy, covering all relevant renewable energy technologies for the region. Current responsibilities mainly involve undertaking feasibility studies into a number of built environment redevelopment projects in the region and overseas for the private and public sector, exploring the technical and commercial options for incorporating a mix of renewable energy and energy efficient technologies to serve local demand.

| Gabriel
Berry: Technical Advisor
Gabriel joined TVE after a joint project with the University of Reading and an internship at the European Parliament. Amongst his responsibilities are assistance with regional programmes, development of SEE-Stats, monitoring progress to regional and local renewables targets, promotion and advice for sustainable wind energy developments, and maintenance of the TVE and SEE-Stats websites.

Gillian Alker: Energy Crop Advisor
Gillian has particular expertise
and interest in energy crops and leads on the Coppice activities
and supports Charlotte Bruton. Gillian has an international
track record on matters such as land remediation using
phytoremediation techniques, energy crop production, ecological
modelling, water management methods and so on. After completing
her PhD at Imperial, Gillian spent three years as a post-doc at
the University of Florida, followed by two and a half years as
an environmental consultant at WRc plc.

| Anthony Whitton:
Advisor Anthony works as an associate with TV Bioenergy supporting the team on biomass projects. He comes from a commercial background with 14 years' experience in specifying, purchasing and project management. He will be assisting the team with on site project management and general business advice. Anthony has previously worked in mechanical engineering for UKAEA and for many years ran a successful haulage business.

Dr Julije Domac:
(Associate) International Projects
Advisor Julije is Team Coordinator and a recognised international expert with more then 10 years experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. His working experience includes being the national biomass programme coordinator and Deputy Head of Department for Renewable Energy at the Hrvoje Pozar Energy Institute in Zagreb, Croatia; international expert for Tipperary Institute in Ireland; a project leader for UNIDO; a lead expert for the World Bank; a technical editor for FAO; an expert evaluator for the European Commission, and Task Manager for the International Energy Agency (IEA). Over the last four years, his main focus has been biomass energy, especially socio-economic modelling, work with local communities and public education.

Philippa Hughes: Advisor Philippa works part-time for TV Energy, enhancing the teams capacity in local authority matters, transport and community renewables. She brings a track record of improving corporate environmental performance in the public and private sectors to TVE, which she will be focusing on renewables. Philippa has previously worked for six years on environmental strategy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology
and an environmental consultants firm in the USA, as well as a local authority in Surrey.

Sarah Buckland: Office Manager
With a strong administrative and organisational background, Sarah is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the TV Energy office, handling public enquiries, external communications, and internal systems support and development. Sarah has a high profile within TV Energy event management and support activities. She also co-ordinates and manages wood fuel deliveries for TV Bioenergy and Coppice.
